This two art piece is interconnected with each other. One piece is showing a person bathing in a bathroom holding what could be a “banana” while enjoying his life while another art piece is showing a bunch of minions trying to escape the vast sewer pipe while reaching out of trying to explore the vast future and freedom that they are not given. This two art piece represents the bond and neglecting of father and child. The human figure represents how the person is old in age but actions are like a child. How he neglects his child and trying to enjoy his life. The other art piece shows how to minions struggle to climb up together in order to just go back to society and try to live a normal life but because of their father’s incompetence, they struggle just to barely keep themselves away from hunger. The person is show like a man in a child’s body because age doesn’t make people mature and age and maturity are two different things. The face is like a 50 years old man but his body is like a child’s body showing the immaturity and irresponsible the man can be. The man is being dependent to others causing children to suffer. The insignificant values of just enjoying life and let others work for him is irresponsible as all the child struggles to survive while the father scrapes of little that they work for. The children wish to escape reality but at the same time they need to face reality and try to find an opportunity to escape suffering and wishing for a good life but because of the obstacles in front of them and the dependency of their parents causing them to be on a standstill. The loneliness, helplessness and hardship that they are enduring cause her to be chip off slowly wishing one day it would be better.
